First, unplug the phone from the USB. - 1. Disable Active sync - go to connection settings as disable the USB detection. - 2. With your phone turned off, hold down the "volume down" button on the left of the phone; keep this held down while you turn the power on (red call button as usual). - 3. You should see a blue screen with the title version 3.6 OR 3.7 - 4. Make sure you have unzipped every single part of the download (the updated ROM you have downloaded from my link). - 5. On that blue menu, choose the option IPSM options (or similar); do this by using the volume down button by clicking it accordingly until it reaches this option; press the "record button" on the right hand side of the phone. - 6. Using the same selection technique as point 4, choose the option to delete the IPSM (erase). - 7. Wait until 100% completion has shown and choose to exit. - 8. Choose option 0 on the initial screen; this is the option to update the ROM. - 9. Choose the option which refers to the USB transfer. - 10. Open up the software titled: UUTforCanary.exe - 11. Click the "ok" button via your computer.
The following steps are important; do this part with great accuracy: - 12. Change the image file to "Image 1" via the drop down menu. - 13. Select the image 1 location; this will be in the unzipped download folder - it is in the folder titled "OEM" the file is called: OEM.nb0 - 14. Click the OK button once you have found the location to initiate the ROM update. - 15. Do not touch or use either your phone or computer once you see on the phone display that the ROM is updating; this will permanently damage your phone if a fault occurs. - 16. Once it says 100% complete, exit and turn the phone power off. - 17. Wait 5 minutes before switching the phone back on - make sure the sync cable is unplugged at this stage. - 18. Resume the power and load an uncertified application; it should work! - 19. Please don't rush any of these processes; your phone can permanently damage if you don't do a certain stage correctly.
